I have a picky toddler eater and sadly I've become trapped into the routine of what to feed her. To help me get out of chicken nuggets and Mac & Cheese drill I came up with a list of meal ideas and a nutrition tracker to help me feed her more healthy. Now I can easily refer to my list on my refrigerator and come up with something quickly! With the Nutrition Tracker, I can manually or mentally check off what she's eaten so later in the day I can plan something of nutritional value that she hasn't already had for the day.

Tools you will need:
provided printables
stapler or hemp cord/twine
*optional: magnets and hot glue gun

Meal Idea List Instructions:
Print and cut printables. If you would like to make your list into a notepad, print many copies. Staple or tie together with hemp cord or twine.

On the back, with a hot glue gun, glue magnet on. (Obviously you can skip this step and just hold it up with other refrigerator magnets. OR you can repurpose that old dentist magnet and just glue it onto the back of your list!)

Now your notepad is ready to hang on your fridge! Handy and dandy!

This notepad can be used to help you plan your families meals or your toddlers meals, like what I'm planning on using it for. I wrote on there meal ideas for breakfast, lunch, dinner, and snacks so it will be a convenience for me to help my toddler eat healthy. But this can be used for whatever your heart desires.

Now go ahead and to the same with your Nutrition Tracker! You can make it into a notepad also and print out lots of copies so you can use it daily, or just print one and use it as a mental reference. I'm using mine as a mental reference - saves trees! And I'm just going to hang it with some refrigerator magnets. *Note: I made this Nutrition Tracker according to what toddlers should be getting into their diets, but I feel it is just as useful for anyone at any age!

For years I have kept my jewelry in a little plastic paper drawer. Sure, it was working for me, but then I got to the point where I wouldn't wear jewelry because I had forgotten what I even had! Being stashed away, I couldn't see my full collection and make a smart choice for what to wear. Plus, they weren't being handled very well after getting smooshed and smashed around. It was time for a solution. I wanted something simple that wouldn't take up too much space, but was open enough so I could visually see what I had. I looked around and didn't want a jewelry box and I didn't want to limit my collection to a small open picture frame with a couple of nails to hang my things on. That's when this idea came to me! I assure you this really was an original idea because since I've thought of it, I have seen others very similar like it! Great minds think alike I guess! So look around, get creative with how you want yours to look, but this is how mine went:

Tools you will need:
one 2x4
14 nails
4 screws
hammer
drill
sandpaper
paint of your choice
gloss/protective spray paint (optional)

Buy a 2x4 of your choice and cut it into 4 even cuts. (I had the guy at Lowe's do this for me.) Sand down 2 of the pieces. (You have 2 extra pieces! Maybe you can use them and make another one as a gift? Or use for future block projects!)

Paint the boards. When they are dry, you may spray paint your gloss or protective spray paint on. After dried, mark 7 (or however many you want) even marks across the board. Hammer in the nails onto the marks.

With some help (or in my case, my husband and father-in-law) drill 2 holes where the screws will go so it can be screwed into the wall. Screw boards onto the wall.

Now the fun part: Hang up all of your beautiful jewelry! Ah, this really has been one of my favorite projects. It's so functional, yet simple. I can see everything that I have and not have to dig around through drawers.

I have been amazed with all of those pins floating around on Pinterest with how much you can do with baking soda, vinegar, and Dawn dish soap! Or even just plain baking soda! So it got me thinking, could I use baking soda to freshen up my stinky water shoes? It's a natural deodorizer so it has to work...

We had just gotten back from a vacation to the tropics, and I used my water shoes almost every day in both fresh water and the salty sea water. After a week of fun, they were really pungent. Something had to be done! I thought about washing them in the washing machine, but I wasn't so sure it would take out the stench. Then I remembered about all of the wonderful things that baking soda can supposedly do. I had to try it.

baking soda
water
old toothbrush/scrubbing brush
vinegar (optional)

Mix baking soda with some water until it forms a slightly watery paste. And then scrub, scrub, scrub! All over the shoes: soles, inside, outside, everywhere. Rinse with water. This should take care of the smelly smell! (If not, follow the optional directions and pour a little vinegar inside and scrub the inside. Rinse.)

And you're done!

It's nice to have fresh shoes! All while using natural ingredients too.
