Over this past month I had the opportunity to work with Melea, who is a photographer and needed a new logo for her business. She wanted to start looking more professional and knew that she needed a graphic designer to help her achieve a branding makeover. Melea was so easy to work with and we banged this out in just a few weeks. 

I personally like the one below the best, but overall it's her decision and really, you can't go wrong with either of them. At first I wasn't really thinking about doing a big symbol, but then the idea of an old movie reel came to mind. So I constructed an abstract reel to show how she also does movies and not just photography. The green color was a must, and it also reminds me of how refreshing her work is with some of the commercial settings taking place in bright areas.

Mother's Day is just around the corner so I've got a new line of prints up and ready in the shop! What I like about these 3 prints is how they cover all aspects of motherhood. The first one is for the mother of young kids, and the other 2 are great for any stage of momhood. I feel they are also appropriate for birthdays or even your mother-in-law!

This is almost a month over-due, but here is the Mustache Bash Baby Shower! My friend and I threw our friend this baby shower together - she did all of the amazing food and party favor foot scrubs and I did the decorating and designing. 

My friend found the idea on Pinterest for the food labels. (here, it was just linked to the picture and not the blog) I must say whoever made these up first was a genius! Super cute idea and we just rolled with it!

The shower was a fabulous success and I gotta say, we made a really good team!

One of the games we played was called Mom or Dad, which was also found on Pinterest (and the page doesn't exist anymore, so sad!). The mom-to-be writes out questions about herself and her husband ahead of time. At the shower, as you ask the questions, the guests answer by holding up lips if they think the answer is the mom or a mustache if they think it's the dad. The person with the most correct answers wins.

My baby turned 2! So I threw her a party. She has quite a few little friends so the food was all toddler-friendly and the parents were invited along. She loves animals and sea animals, so I went with a fish-sea theme. It was really fun thinking of games and food that would go along with "under the sea". There was a photo booth, Pin the Tail on the Fish, and coloring on a big piece of paper, although I'm not sure how much that goes with the theme, but the kids loved it!

New prints are up in the shop! About time, sheesh...

This has been a process because I really want my shop to have more of a direction and personality which is why it has taken me some time to come up with new pieces. 

I want my shop to make people feel good whether it's through inspirational quotes, love, or something funny - I want it to have an impact people's lives. I want it to be something they can look at everyday where it can bring them a sense of accomplishment, joy or motivation to get through their daily life.
