I love the rustic Christmas decor that's becoming really popular and started incorporating it into my holiday decor last year. Our apartment could still use some rustic lovin' so I decided to add on this perfect pinecone garland to help tie in other areas of the room. I got the idea from here, but she took it to a whole notha level with putting gold-leaf on the pinecones and making it very classy. I'm cheap (read: poor) so my toddler and I gathered pinecones and just used some Dollar Tree twine. But before I get ahead of myself, let's just dive in on how to make it:
 2. Take a pinecone and tie a knot around the top area. I tried double-knotting it, but it just looked bulky and it's fine with just one tight knot. I understand twine's vary, so do what you feel is best.
 3. Move down a few inches and tie on another pinecone. Keep adding pinecones until you get the desired amount of cones on. Leave room on the outer strands to use as fasting or taping onto your shelf, mantel, or other type of surface you fancy.
